Regional Business Manager – Wound care

Salary: DOE

Territory: North – including Scotland, North Cumbria, Newcastle & Tyneside, Northumbria, Leeds, Bradford, Lancashire, Blackpool and Manchester

Our client is an international player in the field of medical and hygiene products. The wound management division of this organisation is among the fastest growing in the UK.

VMC seek to recruit a Regional Business Manager to join our client’s highly successful sales operation in the UK. The successful Regional Business Manager will be responsible for the management of a geographical region and a sales team across this region.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Recruit, retain, develop, coach and manage a team of talented people
  • Create tactical and strategic business plans which strive to deliver short, medium and long term annual sales budgets
  • Effectively manage the wound management regional business function to ensure best practice is followed
  • Work with National Strategic Engagement Manager to utilise current NHS objectives to build regional market access plan to capitalise access opportunities to establish better relationships and brand leverage
  • Create and deliver partnership projects
  • Identify and establish Key Decision Makers within the Procurement, Managerial and Clinical units and build relationships in line with company strategy
  • Ensure team compliance with CRM system
  • Develop processes and procedures for good territory management
  • Manage financial budgets including authorisation of promotional and team expenses
  • Work closely with the marketing team to help develop and implement promotional campaigns

Essential skills required;

  • Science or business related degree
  • Sales Personal Management experience at regional level within the medical device sector
  • Field Trainer and coaching experience
  • Experience of market access engagement
  • Thorough and demonstrable understanding of the NHS structure, Procurement and funding pathways
  • Ability to motivate a sales team
  • Competitive and goal orientated
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Ability to work away from home in accordance with the role
  • Passion to “make a difference” to patient lives and health
