Clinical Nurse Specialist- South West

Locations/Territories: South West – Bath, Bristol, Oxford, Swindon

£35 to £40k Plus Bonus

Our client is a leading dedicated provider of patient support services to the stoma and continence community.  They have built an excellent reputation based on the delivery of the highest quality homecare services.


We seek to recruit a Clinical Nurse Specialist who will be responsible for the delivery of safe and high quality specialist nursing care by providing training, advice, counselling and supportive care to patients and their carers.  You will work autonomously combining expert knowledge in specialist practice with advanced clinical judgement in delivery care to people with complex Bladder / Bowel symptoms.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Ability to demonstrate sound knowledge and application of NMC Code of Conduct and Scope of Professional Practice
  • Be able to undertake a specialist holistic assessment, diagnose, plan and evaluate care
  • Awareness of the needs of ethnic minority clients/carers
  • Demonstrate ability to manage caseload/workload and associated resources
  • Be able to work autonomously
  • Demonstrate leadership skills
  • Demonstrate a high level of clinical competence in relation to the specialism
  • Be able to provide specialist advice and support healthcare professionals, patients and their carers
  • Ability to demonstrate written skills that are relevant, accurate and concise
  • Ability to demonstrate verbal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate individual responsibility in respect of Health and Safety

Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered Nurse
  • 2 years post registration experience within a urology / continence environment
  • First level degree in a health-related subject or working towards
  • ENB 998 or equivalent with demonstrable experience of teaching or delivering training
  • ENB 978 or equivalent
  • Evidence of multi-disciplinary working
  • Evidence of working with adults who have complex continence issues


  • Demonstrable experience within a community setting
  • Experience of working in a commercial healthcare environment
  • Demonstrate an understanding of audit processes
  • Have knowledge of home delivery services for specialist products / DAC
  • V100/150 Community Prescribing

You will work as an integral art of our client’s highly respected Nursing team and in partnership with other healthcare professionals to deliver safe high quality care to patients in NHS Departments and Clinics, Private Hospitals and Independent Providers.  You will also visit patients in their homes to provide high quality training and support.


It is essential that you also hold a UK Driving Licence, together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


The salary is equivalent to band 6/7 pay scale plus a generous benefits package.
